“Metallica: The Black Album in Black & White”, pubblicato in Italia da Rizzoli Lizard, è una collaborazione ufficiale con i Metallica e il fotografo Ross Halfin. Al suo interno troverete fotografie inedite, accompagnate dai testi di Ross, James, Lars, Kirk e Robert. Ross era con la band durante le registrazioni dell’album ai One on One Studios a North Hollywood e scattò centinaia di fotografie, così come durante il tour di quasi 300 tappe, che ebbe luogo tra il 1991 e il 1993. Documentò intimamente i ritmi frenetici dei membri della band durante le performance, le prove e le interviste, nel backstage e nei viaggi, immortalandoli in ritratti unici. Il libro è pubblicato insieme alla nuova edizione rimasterizzata del quinto album in studio dei Metallica, che batté ogni record, in occasione del suo 30° anniversario: “The Black Album and the Metallica Blacklist”, una compilation rivoluzionaria che vede la collaborazione di oltre 50 artisti contemporanei – di diversi generi, culture e continenti –, ognuno dei quali ci regala un’interpretazione unica delle loro canzoni preferite del Black Album.
